an update...
well, it's been a little bit since we've last posted. at least we have a pretty decent excuse this time. here's a few statements that summarize our recent move:
- we moved from start (knowing we were moving) to finish (packing all our stuff in a truck and leaving) in less than 4 days
- family members were incredibly helpful in both packing, the moving process and unloading the truck
- after the first two days of driving, we weren't further than barstow, ca.
- multiple members of our family got food poisioning
- the boys did great in the car, sleeping much of the way
- we finally made it, got somewhat settled and started work two days later (with a 102-degree fever!)
- we ended up moving into a rental property less than 3 blocks away from the location where john and i first met (we didn't plan it that way, it was just what was available). this means that in the past 5.5 years we basically did one huge gigantic circle across the country, living in six different cities and moving seven times. we plan to stay put for a while.
