so, most of the time, i hate to admit it, but we haven't been the best about getting our kids appropriate church attire. however, lately we inherited some shirts and we've had a few ties lying around, so my kids actually appear presentable at church. this was the first week van ever wore a tie (bowtie for bri's wedding excluded) and at the end of the three hour block, the first thing he said to me was, "mom, take it off. it's bothering me!" john said, "get used to it, kid."
