Emergency Room.... Again...
Welcome to the wild world of Rachel. Once again as we celebrated a fun weekend with baking a treat, Rachel found a way to visit our friends in the medical field. As Rachel was removing a lid from a can, she thought it would be more effective to grab the lid from the sides vs. the top and bottom of the lid. As she pulled away she inflicted what they like to call in the medical field 'lacerations' to her thumb and forefinger. So once again we were off the the emergency room. After a lovely visit to the Scripps Encinitas Hospital Rachel was sewed up and we were off.
Now these images below contain some graphic content, view discretion advised...

After 11 stitches in her thumb, and 6 more stitches in her forefinger, we headed home to clean up the blood that had sprayed around the kitchen (Sorry Val, we cleaned it up the best we could.) And to prove Rachel's toughness, as we returned home from the hospital, Rachel proceeded to finish baking her cake (even though it didn't turn out, it was fun anyway).

Stop baking! Just find a bakery near by and become friends with them!

So, this is the secret ingredient in your red velvet cake???? John said red food dye, but I never imagined this was the base for the dye.
